Annual Iowa Testing Provided
By T.E.A.C.H. Member Peg E.

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills will be offered in June once more by Peggy E. (BJU approved tester and homeschooler of 4 children since 1986) for the tenth consecutive year for kindergarten through high school ages.

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills is tentatively scheduled from Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6, 2008.
Testing will be held at Cortland Trinity Baptist Church in Cortland.

Your child will have, at the most, three sessions of testing - with each session lasting about three hours.
Testing sessions run from 9 a.m. - 12 Noon and from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This testing session will fulfill one of the assessment options for notification set forth by the Ohio homeschooling regulations, and is required often if you want to enroll your child (rather than continuing homeschooling ) in public or private school next fall.

The tests can be ordered thru BJU Press at $39 each. You may order the tests by mail or fax and applications may be obtained ASAP by calling 1-800-845-5731 or by downloading the forms at the BJU Press website: www.bjupress.com/services/testing.  Tests should be ordered during the last two weeks of April.

The $25 testing fee may be paid to Peg E. at any time during the week of testing.  Peg's BJU's customer number is: 752939.

You only need sign the ( legally binding) Home-Schooling Verification section on the application verifying that you are indeed homeschooling - no additional proof is needed!!!!!! SIMPLE!!!!!!

To enroll or to ask a question contact Peg E. (maggie4kid@aol.com).
Leave a detailed message with your question or your child's name, test level ordered, and your name and phone number.  Although Peg prefers contact via email you may also read her by phone (please use your TEACH Directory to get her phone number -- it cannot be posted here for security and privacy reasons).

Peg and Jim earl have four children ages 13 thru 26. The oldest is a college graduate and is Publications Manager at a college in Pittsburgh, the next is an Air Force ROTC Cadet and Finance Major, the third is a Dental Assistant student and our youngest, age 13, is still homeschooling and learning to play the drums (whatever sanity, and hearing, I have enjoyed is now in jeopardy).
