National Sex Offender Public
Registry: http://www.nsopr.gov/
This Web site is provided as a public service by the U.S. Department of
Justice ("the Department"). Using this Web site, interested members
of the public have access to and may search participating state Web site
public information regarding the presence or location of offenders, who, in
most cases, have been convicted of sexually-violent offenses against adults
and children and certain sexual contact and other crimes against victims who
are minors. The public can use this Web site to educate themselves about the
possible presence of such offenders in their local communities.
Family
Watch Dog - Be Aware of Sex Offenders in your Area
If
you have kids, you should check this site out. It took me a couple of
times of trying to get into it, but once I did it was worth it. Let your
friends and families know about this web site, it's pretty scary! But
good to be aware. Okay,
here's the deal... go to this link and near the bottom left, it has a
"Click Here" button... click on it and enter your address...it will
show a "house", that's yours... all the little colored boxes are Sex
Offenders... click on them and you get a name, address, & picture of
the person along with his crime... pretty amazing and scary...it shows the age
range and sex that they have offended, plus where they live in
proximity to your home and the local schools.
